SIngle Car Accident Kills 14 & Injures 9 Others

A single vehicle accident north of Corpis Cristi, Texas claims the lives 14 people and injures 9 others.

The accident happened in the early hours of a July morning earlier this year. The truck carrying 23 men women and children, most of whom allegedly illegal immigrants, lost control of their vehicle and ran into a tree yards away from the highway.

Most of the deceased where claimed dead on the scene as others were airlifted to nearby hospitals.

One body was reportedly found as far as 60 feet away from the accident. Officials needed the jaws of life to retrieve four injured victims trapped in the cab of the vehicle.

Gerald Bryant of the Texas Department of Public Safety stated that this was the most people he had ever seen packed into a vehicle in this 32 years on the job.
